Roy KiyookaCanadian, 1926 - 1994

Roy Kiyooka was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1926. He studied at Calgary Institute of Technology and Art under Jock MacDonald and Illingworth Kerr and in Mexico under James Pinto. Kiyooka attended Emma Lake Artists' Workshops in 1957 under Will Barnett, 1959 uner Barnett Newman and 1962 under Clement Greenberg. He taught at Regina College of Art from 1957-59, the Vancouver School of Art from 1960-65 and Sir George Williams University 1965-70.
